This extension and renovation works was designed as an architectural statement of the university itself and it’s corporate image.
Innovation and progress, these were the ideas used in selecting the materials and design features for the building. Aluminium cladding was used extensively on the facade to promote a modern image, while providing for a low-maintenance building.

A backdrop of light grey was used throughout the building for a corporate look while IMU's corporate colours were used to help define the planar and linear elements of the facade emphasising its architectural elements. Different shades of blue also helped to give depth to the overall scheme while the strategically placed aluminium fins help to break-up the otherwise monotonous facade while responding better to the environment.
